While this workshop will focus on equipping you with individual strategies, the goal is to also aim to encourage open discussions
about these systemic challenges. Understanding how to cope personally is one piece of the puzzle, and I encourage you to take these insights back to your workplace to foster a healthier, more supportive caregiving environment.

Your facilitator understands and acknowledges that not all changes are easy, and this workshop is not designed or intended to oversimplify your experiences. This program is designed to provide flexible strategies that can be adapted to the different changes you face, whether personal or professional. Your facilitator Judy Micale recognizes that change comes in many forms, and some are more difficult than others, which is why she focuses on both mindset and practical tools to support you in real, tangible ways.

Compassion Fatigue: Let the Healing Begin
As the natural consequence of stress resulting from caring and helping traumatized people. The outward signs we experience are displays of stress resulting from giving care to others. Compassion Fatigue is the name that has been attached to these symptoms so that we have a way of identifying it in ourselves and in others. Once identified, we are able to take action to manage the distress this disorder is causing in our lives. (Figley, CR, 1995) This full day (6 hours) training on Compassion Fatigue workshop will provide participants an opportunity to: for 1. Recognize the signs and symptoms of Compassion Fatigue,2. Discuss ways of prevention and treatment of Compassion Fatigue and 3. Provide some techniques to increase healthy self-care.
